Yes, the days are officially getting shorter and colder in these parts…but there is a lot of excitement for TAMARACK as winter approaches. We have completed recording and mastering for two new original tracks. We are in the midst of working on release dates for both tracks (release dates will be posted shortly!)…hopefully in time for Christmas…what a great digital shocking stuffer!!

But wait, even better is that we’ll be giving them away for FREE right here on our website once they are released….it really doesn’t get any better!

TAMARACK is back in the studio working on a few new original tracks, which we hope to release later on this year.  We are absolutely stoked about the prospect of the new tracks and are once again working with musical guru Andrew Lauzon of AudioGeek (audiogeek.ca). We’ve also decided to hit up DNA Studios (dnarecordingfacility.com) for some of the recording work this time around.  This is a top-notch recording facility in Toronto, so we’ll be sure to post some photos for your viewing pleasure!

It’s been way too long since we posted, but it was a busy summer for TAMARACK! We got introduced to a a bunch of new venues, which were an absolute blast. No doubt we’ll be returning to some of them again next summer!

We had a HUGE opener gig at the Red Dog in Peterborough with Crash Karma (ex members of I Mother Earth, Our Lady Peace, The Tea Party and Zygote) and Art of Dying (currently on tour with Disturbed and Hail the Villian)….and it was killer! We debuted some new original material at the show and will be looking to head back to the studio this winter. Of course, we have to give props to Ryan Kemp of the Red Dog and the fellas from Crash Karma and Art of Dying for giving us the opportunity. Great time!

TAMARACK’s fall is shaping up nicely too. It all begins with our annual Halloween favourite at the Smiling Buddha Bar (Toronto). This Halloween show has become a favourite amongst the band and friends….yeah, the crowd will give you a heckling if you show up without a costume. Tamarack then returns to Kenzingtons (Barrie) a few weeks later. Check out our full gig schedule at www.tamarackband.com

Well, TAMARACK has one hell of a gig schedule shaping up this spring….and we are totally stoked about it! It all begins with the return to the Rose & Crown (Toronto) this Saturday night, followed up by a gig next Friday at Kenzington’s (Barrie). Tamarack then makes their debut at O’Grady’s (on College in Toronto) in mid-May for a fundraising event (more details to come on this event).

BIG NEWS!  Tamarack’s first two original songs “Slow Motion” and “White Lines” were released today!  You can now preview these new tracks on our website….as well as purchase them online through iTunes, CDbaby and a number of other online music sites!  We are totally stoked about this….so please have a listen, post your comments, and spread the word!!

We’re also happy to announce that Tamarack’s song “Slow Motion” was selected by the MOOSE FM radio stations to be included on their newest MOOSE TRAX compilation album.  Selection of our song means regular air-play on all 13 of MOOSE FM’s stations through central and northern Ontario.  To go along with this, a promotional video for Tamarack’s “Slow Motion” has been posted on YouTube and our website for your viewing pleasure!!!
