Well, TAMARACK has one hell of a gig schedule shaping up this spring….and we are totally stoked about it! It all begins with the return to the Rose & Crown (Toronto) this Saturday night, followed up by a gig next Friday at Kenzington’s (Barrie). Tamarack then makes their debut at O’Grady’s (on College in Toronto) in mid-May for a fundraising event (more details to come on this event).

BIG NEWS!  Tamarack’s first two original songs “Slow Motion” and “White Lines” were released today!  You can now preview these new tracks on our website….as well as purchase them online through iTunes, CDbaby and a number of other online music sites!  We are totally stoked about this….so please have a listen, post your comments, and spread the word!!

We’re also happy to announce that Tamarack’s song “Slow Motion” was selected by the MOOSE FM radio stations to be included on their newest MOOSE TRAX compilation album.  Selection of our song means regular air-play on all 13 of MOOSE FM’s stations through central and northern Ontario.  To go along with this, a promotional video for Tamarack’s “Slow Motion” has been posted on YouTube and our website for your viewing pleasure!!!

Well, it’s been one hell of a summer!  We’ve been busy playing a number of private gigs, as well as some great bar gigs over the past few months.  This summer has been an absolute riot and we owe a huge thanks to everyone that has been coming out!  Our cover set/song list continues to grow and we are always open to suggestions, so keep em’ coming!

Here are a few key updates!

1) New Original Tunes – We are set to release two original rock songs that we recorded with Andrew Lauzon (check him out at www.audiogeek.ca) this past spring.  ‘Slow Motion’ and ‘White Lines’ will be available for you listening pleasure later this fall!  Stay tuned for the release date!

2) YouTube – Tamarack is on YouTube now!  We’ll be working to add some more videos over the next few months.  If you have any clips you’ve taken at one of our shows, please get in touch with us!  We want those clips!  Check out our YouTube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/tamarackband

3) Fall Gigs – We’ve lined up a gig on Halloween night at the Smiling Buddha Bar in Toronto.  If you were able to attend our Halloween show last year, you know that killer costumes and deadly rock tunes ruled the night!  If you weren’t able to attend last year…..you don’t want to miss this, trust us! 

We also have another gig lined up the following weekend in the Beaches area of Toronto.  This is a new territory for us in the city…so we’re definitely stoked about it!  Keep checking our website for any more ‘SHOW’ updates.

1. NEW and IMPROVED WEBSITE…but you already knew that.  Check back as we will continue to make improvements and add-ons over the next little while.

2. We’ve had a really busy winter/spring with a number of both bar and private gigs in the Toronto, Peterborough and Muskoka areas.  Our set list has continued to grow with a number new and old additions….so if you haven’t seen us in a while….make it a priority!!  As always, if you have any requests, feel free to let us know!

3. We have a new drummer!  Eric Gauthier is expecting a new, little bundle of joy to his life! (Congrats Eric and Anita!), and though Eric will be missed while he starts his family, we are happy to announce that Tamarack will not miss a beat with the addition of our new drummer, Eric Axiak! Welcome Eric!

4. Over the past few months we’ve been dabbling in the studio and have laid down two original rock songs with Andrew Lauzon (a gentleman, scholar and bad ass producer).  You can check out some of Andrew’s other work at www.audiogeek.ca We are currently in the midst of getting these tracks finalized and mastered…but expect to hear them soon!
